Up-uatu

Another of Budge's spellings
Up-uatu and Upuat are Budge's 1914 forms of the same god he writes Ap-uat and Ap-uati in 1895 and 1905 — Wepwawet, the Opener of the Ways.
The census carried the two spellings as two names, and both were graded searched-not-found while the god sat in four archived sources under a third form. That is the fourth time this pattern has cost the corpus an entry (C365, C366).
The merge was worth doing on its own. The two Upuat passages in Literature of the Ancient Egyptians are the ones the wepwawet entry's open threads were asking for — a Pyramid Text occurrence (Unas), and the name doing its literal job in a funerary text: "Upuat openeth a prosperous road for thee." Both are now on the main entry. See C386.
