Qebui

What is claimed

The census carries this name with the following description, taken verbatim from the aggregate list it was extracted from:

God of the north winds

Source grading in that list: Minor deities / Gods.

Research status

Not yet researched. Nothing above has been checked against a primary text. No claim on this page should be cited. The description is recorded so the roster is complete and so the starting point is visible — not because it is established.

Per 00-README.md rule 4, an aggregate list is sufficient to show a name is in circulation and never sufficient to show it is attested. This entry becomes a real one when someone finds it in a primary source and fills in the format from ENTRY-FORMAT.md.

Identified

Group: the Gods of the Four Winds — the North Wind. Budge's set: Qebui north, Shehbui south, Henkhisesui east, Hutchaiui west [budge-1904].

Under the companies rule (C246) this is a pointer rather than an entry: the source names the member and describes only the set it belongs to. See shehbui, where the set is set out, and henkhisesui.

The census direction is confirmed. "God of the north winds" matches Budge's assignment exactly — three of the four winds are now closed against the same list, and none of the three has contradicted it.
