Ba-ta

see Bata

This is not a separate deity

Two writings of the same name. bata carries the census description — "an Egyptian bull-god of the New Kingdom, who represents together with his brother Anubis the 17th Upper Egyptian nome" — and ba-ta carries none; both scored the same 18 hits on the same Breasted passage.

The researched entry is bata. This page is kept rather than deleted so the census roster stays complete and the variant spelling lands somewhere truthful.

Found by scripts/check-duplicates.py, which since batch 41 reports candidate pairs rather than whole consonant-skeleton buckets, and warns as soon as two sides are queued for research rather than waiting until one has been written.
